And Did Those Feet in Far Off Time
This is a wending of "And did those feet in ancient time," by William Blake. It is also known as the loofsong, "Jerusalem."
And did those feet in far off time[edit]
And did those feet in far off time,
Walk upon Englands barrows green:
And was the holy Lamb of God,
On Englands likesome leasowes seen!
And did the Heavenly Ansine,
Shine forth upon our clouded hills?
And was Jerusalem builded here,
Among these dark Satanish Mills?
Bring me my Bow of burning gold:
Bring me my Arrows of yearning:
Bring me my Spear: O clouds unfold:
Bring me my Crat in fire bursting!
I will not rest from Mindly Fight,
Nor shall my Sword sleep in my hand:
Till we have built Jerusalem,
In Englands green and likesome Land.
