Here are some mini-biographies of some famous Romans. The nominative case ending -us has been dropped from the names which normally have them in Modern English, so here you will only find Marc and never Marcus.

Marc Porci Cato ƿas cerlborn and fougt as a tribune in þe Oþer Punisc Ƿye. Afterƿards he began a life of ƿeeldcraft, becumming quaestor, aedile, praetor, and consul. He did muc to better Room by hafing neƿ buildings made, and by beeting oþers. Agen he fougt, one time to put dune an uprising in Spain, anoþer time to figt agenst Greeks. He had a hand in ƿaning þe migt of þe Scipio hird. Cato became censor and sougt to uphold old Roomisc ƿuns; he fougt agenst geefing ƿomen more freedom, and agenst Greek sƿay. His starkness earned him many foes. Cato felt Room ƿas þreatened by Cartain getting back on its feet, so he ƿanted to see Cartain cƿelled, hƿic ended up happening in þe Þird Punisc Ƿye, hƿic Cato lifed to see. Cato is knoƿn to later knees mucly as a ƿriter. He ƿrote þe Origines, hƿic ƿas þe first stearƿrit of Room ƿritten in Leeden. Only small bits of þis ƿrit are ƿiþ us today. He ƿrote oþer ƿorks too.

SCIPIO AFRICAN ÞE ELDER 236BC-183BC

Publi Corneli Scipio African ƿas a Roomisc hartoƿ, consul, and patrician. Scipio is best knoƿn for figting in þe Oþer Punisc Ƿye. He ƿon guþes in Spain agenst Cartain, became consul in 205BC, and ceos to strike at þe Cartainers in Norþ Africk raþer þan deal ƿiþ Hannibal hƿo ƿas in Italy. He did ƿell in Norþ Africk, and Hannibal came dune to figt him, but Hannibal lost to Scipio in þe Guþe of Zama. Cartain had to geeld, and ended up geefing Spany to Room, among oþer þings.

Marc Porci Cato ƿas þe greatsunsun of Cato þe Elder. Cato þe Geunger is knoƿn for being a leader of þe Optimates, a set of men hƿo sougt to keep Room a republic amid þe rise of Iuli Caesar. Early in his life he fougt agenst Spartac. Hƿen borouger ƿye broke ute betƿeen þose hƿo sided ƿiþ Caesar and þose hƿo sided ƿiþ Pompei, Cato took Pompei's side. Þe ƿye agenst Caesar trucked, and Cato ended up killing himself. Cicero ƿrote a ƿrit called Cato, hƿerein he herried Cato. In ansƿer, Caesar ƿrote Anticato hƿerein he spoke ill of Cato.

Publi Ovidi Naso ƿas a Roomisc scop. Early in life it seemed he ƿuld go into ƿeeldcraft, but he ended up hƿarfing instead to leeþcraft. Marc Juni Brute, also knoƿn as Quint Caepio Brute, ƿas a Roomisc ƿeeldcrafter. Brute is best knoƿn for being one of þe main men behind þe killing of Iuli Caesar. He ƿas þe neef of Cato þe Geunger, hƿo he picked up Stoic leef from. He fougt to hold dune þe rise of Pompei, but ended up siding ƿiþ him in þe ƿar agenst Iuli Caesar. Caesar milsed him. Þruge his kiþscip ƿiþ Caesar ƿarmed for a hƿile, it turned full cold hƿen Caesar made himself dictator for life and had himself goddened, leading Brute to dealnim in his killing. He had to flee afterƿards, oƿing to þe þreat of þose hƿo liked Caesar. He ƿas later geefen ƿeeld ofer land in þe east of þe realm hƿere he heaped up ƿealþ and migt. A borouger ƿar broke ute betƿeen þose hƿo ƿuld take ofer folloƿing Caesar's deaþ. Brute sided ƿiþ Cassi agenst August and Mark Antoni, but ƿas beaten and killed himself. His figts agenst dictatorscip gained him herrying ƿiþ Cicero.

Publi Vergili Maro ƿas a scop best knoƿn for his þeedisc leeþ called þe Aeneid. He ƿas ƿidely held by Roomers to be þeir greatest scop. In þe Aeneid he tells a tale abute hue Room ƿas staddelled and hue it is Room's ceore to bring civilisation to þe ƿorld. Vergili ƿas born a cerl, into þe aftermaþ of þe borougerƿye betƿeen Mari and Sulla. In his geƿþ he ƿitnessed þe neƿ figt betƿeen Juli Caesar and Pompey, and his hate for borougerƿye is glassed in his ƿorks.

SULLA 138BC-79BC

Luci Coreneli Sulla ƿas a Roomisc oneƿeelder. Sulla began as a quaestor under Gai Mari and dealnum in a ƿye agenst þe Nummeþs in Norþ Africk. He did so ƿell agenst þem þat Mari greƿ ondy toƿards him. After becoming a praetor and figting in þe Social Ƿye he became a consul, and ƿas geefen a here to figt agenst Pontus ƿiþ. But hƿen Gai Mari fanded to make himself þe head of þis here, Sulla ƿent to Room to strike at Mari, but Mari fled. Sulla þen ƿent to figt Pontus as he ƿas going to to begin ƿiþ. Hƿile Sulla ƿas figting in Greekland Mari ƿent back to Room and took ofer. Sulla ƿas boded a foe of þe ric, and Room ƿas cleansed of Sulla's backers, but þen Mari died of old eld. After ƿinning agenst Pontus, Sulla ƿent back to Room ƿiþ his here and fougt in a borougerƿye agenst þe side Mari ƿas on. Sulla ƿon, became oneƿeelder, and Room ƿas cleansed of Mari's old backers. Hƿile oneƿeelder Sulla did muc to edheƿ Roomisc laƿ, one of his goals being to make it harder for anoþer man to take ofer Room as he had. He later stepped dune and died friþfully.
